Combining a unique blend of genres that stretch from Jazz to Folk, exciting Cardiff based Indie-pop artist Joe Wilkins utilises his wide range of influences to provide a sentimental and melancholic feel to his music. With a sound that's equally infectious as it is diverse, he continues to develop a style that bounces between high energy latin grooves and soulful melodies, whilst keeping storytelling and lyricism at the heart of it.
Recorded in his bedroom and mixed by Tom Rees (Buzzard Buzzard Buzzard), his debut EP 'Albany' encapsulates this feeling across the project with each track taking the listener to a contrasting world whilst maintaining a relaxed and uplifting feel throughout. After recently being supported by BBC Introducing's Adam Walton, he will also be playing at Sŵn festival this year.
